Salamu walaykum, (Allah’s peace be upon you)
It feels like ages since I’ve posted anything here, and I’m pretty sure I was sitting down to write a post last week, but I can’t find it in my drafts, and I don’t seem to have posted it, so perhaps that was a dream?
Any who, how are you?
How are you doing? What’s new in your life?
Alhamdulillah (All praise is due to Allah) I’ve been really busy, and blessed lately. You probably know by now, that I prefer it when I’m busy, and my mind is being engaged, and I’ve got to make use of my reminder app, my phone’s calendar, the calendar in my living room, and my organiser to get everything done.
If you didn’t know…. Now you do! I’m always at my most efficient, when I’m busy, and I’m aware that every moment counts.
🙂
I guess you’re probably wondering what it is that’s keeping me busy these days. I don’t go back to class until November 6. In’sha’Allah (by God’s Grace) I’ll be starting BSL level 3. 😱 I’m so excited, that I took out a couple books from the library, and I’m reading around my subject :).
In addition to that, I’m still volunteering for Action On Hearing Loss, I’ve gone back to my Scouts group, I found the man I’m going to marry, and I’ve been working on relaunching my little business.
That’s right I went back to scouts, can you believe it!?!
I missed the kids, and I missed how fulfilling, rewarding, and fun, running and planning the sessions are. It also helps that this time around, I don’t have as many responsibilities, because we have more leaders to share the workload. Alhamdulilah!
my sense of humour is weird right…. You probably expected me to say: You heard me right- I found the man I’m going to marry bi’ithni’llah (with the permission of Allah)!!!!!!
and not can you believe I went back to scouts …. 🙂
😊😊😊😊😊
I don’t know what to tell you…
It’s one of the things that’s been keeping me busy I suppose, but it’s so much more than that too. The whole, getting my family on board, and trying to get them to understand that I’m absolutely certain, that this is the right man for me, and that there really isn’t a point in delaying, because Islamically speaking, after Salah (prayer), marriage is something that you don’t delay. And that I just want to be married to him, and I want us to be free to go about, and have fun, knowing that we have out families blessings, and most importantly Allah’s blessings; that what we have together is Halal.
A means of earning our Creator’s pleasure, not a means of stacking up sins.Well that’s been really tough. And I’ve been really praying about it; that my Creator helps me out. I Need His Help big time! Keep me in
your prayers
Lots of love
Dee
(I leave you with this)
sorry if you can’t read my handwriting-
It says:
Once, years after Khadijah (r.a.) passed away, the Prophet (s.a.w.) came across a necklace, that she had once worn. when he saw it, he remembered her, and began to cry and & mourn. His love for her never died. Such was the love that the Prophet (s.a.w.) had for Khadija) (r.a.). I don’t know of any greater love story.
May we all be granted love stories as beautiful as this. Ameen.
